El Jadida Prosecutor’s Office Orders Hearing of Group Advisor in Azemmour for Defamation

The judicial police of the city of Azemmour opened a judicial investigation, on the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office of the new primary school, following a complaint filed by a victim for defamation, insults, slander, invasion of privacy and threats via social networks.
The victim’s complaint for defamation filed against a group advisor in Azemmour indicated that the complainant had a social network page and had previously shared a post from a Facebook page whose owner is in Canada, which included a group of insults, slander, defamation and threats, as stated in the complaint, one of the paragraphs of which adds that the defendant shared the messages were published on his aforementioned private account, which harmed the dignity and reputation of the complainant and had a negative impact on his psyche and on his family members, knowing that this page is considered one of the largest pages on which a number of Moroccan citizens have filed complaints with the judicial authorities, as well as a number of intermediaries or people who take care of him in prisons.
According to the newspaper’s sources, the accused’s collective lawyer was heard last Wednesday. The contacts were related to the public prosecutor’s office and it was decided to follow up on the accused if he was released.
