Naif Akrad rejects Gulf money, depriving West Ham of significant sum after Real Sociedad move

Morocco international Naif Akrad has rejected Gulf money after joining Spanish side Real Sociedad in the current summer transfer window from West Ham United on loan.

Naif Akrad received a significant financial offer worth €25 million from Saudi Jeddah Club, where the offer was €5 million as a loan value for this season and €20 million as a mandatory purchase value, but the player refused despite the approval of the English team officials who wanted to benefit financially from the player’s deal.

Nayef Akrad went against the wishes of West Ham officials who wanted to sell him to Saudi club Jeddah, preferring to join Spanish club Real Sociedad, which deprived the English team of a large sum of money.

Nayef Akrad has been frank with the management of England’s West Ham, as he told club officials he rejected the idea of moving to the Gulf despite the financial temptations, preferring instead to take on a new challenge in European stadiums after receiving several offers, including Spanish side Real Sociedad.
