On Saturday afternoon, the Pullman area witnessed thunderstorms that brought torrential rains that caused significant losses to residents’ agricultural crops and to a number of roads, especially in villages.
Images posted on social media showed rising waters in valleys and reefs, destroying agricultural crops on the slopes, including onion fields washed away by torrents, as seen in the photo.
The floods caused the closure of regional road 502 between Pullman and Sarghina due to the high load in the Arera Valley.
The flooding of one of the aquatic reefs also caused the closure of the regional road 503 linking Fez to Boulmane and the regional road 7103 linking Kiko to Skoura, emphasizing that the last blocked road sections have been reopened to transit.
A local source reported that local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie intervened to protect citizens from flooding and worked to prevent traffic on roads flooded by water.
