As part of the continued efforts of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Primary Education and Sports of the Province of Sefrou and its commitment to the framework terms of reference for reform of the education system, at the forefront of which are the Directives which reflect the constant royal interest in improving education and its quality, and the continued implementation of the objectives of the 2022-2026 roadmap under the slogan “ For a public school “Quality for all”. human, material and logistical capacities to successfully start the 2024-2025 school year.
In this context, the Regional Director of the Ministry of National Education and Sports in Séfrou held a series of communication meetings with different educational actors and local partners, where he informed them of the different developments, measures and procedures that would ensure the success of the program. launch of the new 2024-2025 academic season.
It should be noted that the indicators of social support services of the Regional Directorate recorded a significant increase compared to the 2023-2024 academic season, since the number of beneficiaries of boarding schools increased by 12.33%, the number of beneficiaries of school transport increased by 3.78%, while the number of beneficiaries of meals in boarding schools and school restaurants increased by 6.35%.
With a view to expanding the educational offer in the Séfrou region and providing reception conditions adapted to female and male learners, particularly in rural areas and shortage areas, and with a view to reducing overpopulation, School provision in the region was strengthened this season by creating five new establishments, including four preparatory secondary schools and one primary school, bringing the total number of public education establishments. There are 118 establishments in the region, including 4 collectives, welcoming 69,011 male and female students, an increase of . 1.54% compared to the previous academic season 2023-2024, knowing that a significant number of other projects are in the construction phase, which will inevitably bring a qualitative leap in the level of various educational indicators.
As for the implementation of the project to expand the network of leadership institutions, which is part of the fundamental projects of the 2022-2026 roadmap, this academic season will see a significant increase in the number of leadership institutions, since the number of primary institutions reached 23 establishments, including 6 in rural areas, welcoming 8,609 students, boys and girls, and 3 middle schools, welcoming 1,654 students and one schoolgirl.
As part of the implementation of the program for the generalization and development of primary education, it is planned, according to the statements of the regional director of the “Heba Press” site, to reach 97% for this season, after the regional management has made remarkable progress. in the implementation of this program for the 2023-2024 academic season, since the percentage of enrollment in education has reached the initial level of 94%, thanks to the combined efforts of various partners from regional authorities and partner associations of civil society.
It should be noted that the Sefrou Regional Directorate has recruited a group of regional and local committees to monitor enrollment in educational establishments, whether in the rural or urban world, in order to determine the availability of educational establishments equipped with all educational, didactic and logistical equipment. and the means, and progress of the educational process.
