Well-informed sources told “Heba Press” that the sound of sirens was heard the day before Tuesday, September 3, to warn of the possibility of flooding in the valleys of the Ourika region, due to sudden rainfall.
Operation Sirens in Paurika was preceded by the decision of local authorities to evacuate citizens and businesses located near the valleys, in order to avoid loss of life due to possible flooding.
The National Meteorology Department had earlier issued a bulletin indicating the possibility of thunderstorms this evening in Al Haouz province and other areas.
