The Moroccan football team and its Mauritanian counterpart were neutralized (0-0) in a friendly match, played Tuesday at the Grand Stade d'Agadir.
From the start of the match, the national team faced an opaque defensive block from Mauritania, pushing Walid Regragui's men to maintain their pressure to create chances, notably through Soufiane Rahimi and Brahim Diaz, but without effectiveness.
The “Mourabitounes” were tough in defense, outnumbered, against the Moroccan offensive line.
The changes made in the second period by national coach Walid Regragui, with the departure of Soufiane Rahimi and Hakim Ziyech, replaced by Ilias Akhomach and Youssef En-Nesyri, did not make the expected difference.
The Moroccan team beat its Angolan counterpart by 1 goal to 0 in a friendly match on Friday on the lawn of the same stadium.
