Al-Harhoura: 13 people, including officials and elected officials, were summoned for financial crimes

Heba Press learned from its sources that the financial crimes chamber at the Rabat Court of Appeal summoned around 13 people, including employees and elected officials, before the defunct territorial group of Harhoura, Faouzi Benalal.

According to the same sources, the list includes some names that were involved in the former president’s case and who escaped the activation of the isolation or prosecution procedure due to a number of files, some of which were mentioned in a previous report of the General Inspection.

The impeachment decision that ousted the late independence activist Fawzi Benalal from the presidency of the Harhoura group, against the backdrop of a black report from the General Inspectorate of the Interior, had revealed a blacklist that included a number of names continuing to benefit from the privileges of the group, including a party official who operated stores belonging to the group whose value was estimated at more than 5 billion centimeters.

The case concerns the lack of an agreement for commercial stores, part of their real estate built on state-owned land, which includes a restaurant, a bar and a number of shops. This is something that several members have opposed the absence of, but. this process has met with opposition from some members.

According to the same sources, among those questioned was a consultant to whom the authority had previously sent an investigation with a view to activating the dismissal procedure against him. The sources also suggested that the investigation would extend to a major union at the national level, in addition to a number of real estate lobbyists in Harhoura.

The National Observatory for the Fight against Corruption and the Protection of Public Funds had previously requested the Attorney General of the King to give instructions to the competent authority to carry out all necessary research and investigations and useful expertise, to seize all relevant documents and to hear a number of real estate investors for the Al-Huda, Sahab Al-Amal and Sahab Al-Dhahab Summer Resorts projects, and managers of several real estate projects, head of the cultural agency of the prefecture of Skhirat, manager of the warehouse properties of Skhirat. -The prefecture of Temara, and all beneficiaries of real estate on Harhoura beach, with follow-up of all those involved.
