The Head of Government receives a delegation from the General Union of Workers of Morocco as part of the new round of social dialogue

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch continued this Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in Rabat, the meetings within the framework of the new round of social dialogue, and receiving a delegation from the General Union of Workers of Morocco (UGTM), led by the secretary general of the central, Mr. Enaam Mayara, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance; the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Labor and Skills; the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, responsible for the Budget; of the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesperson and the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform

The new round of social dialogue, which examines the legitimate demands of workers, confirms the government's attachment to joint and responsible action alongside its social and economic partners, within the framework of the institutionalization of social dialogue established by the government as a strategic option, in application of the enlightened vision of HM King Mohammed VI, may God help him.

The Head of Government placed emphasis during this meeting on the centrality of the family and the working class in government measures, noting that the government was able to carry out salary increases for the benefit of large layers of workers in within the framework of sectoral social dialogue, while proceeding with the increase in the guaranteed inter-professional minimum wage (SMIG) and the increase in wages in the agricultural sector (SMAG).

During the debate, which was marked by a spirit of responsibility, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch assured that the achievements made during this government mandate illustrate the sincere will and political courage demonstrated by the government to respond to the aspirations of workers. , just as they demonstrate the force of constructive proposals of the trade union centers.

The new round of social dialogue was launched Tuesday with a meeting between the Head of Government and a delegation from the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), and will continue with meetings with delegations from the Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT) and the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM)
