Moroccan star is part of the ideal group for the 2025 African Cup qualifiers
Moroccan international star Hakim Ziyech has been named in the ideal squad for the first round of qualifying matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after scoring twice and leading the Moroccan national team to a well-deserved 4-1 victory over Gabon on Friday.
Hakim Ziyech was in the ideal line-up for the first round of qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, according to indicators from the Sovascor platform, which specializes in sports statistics, with a score of 8.4 out of 10 points.

The team also included Tunisian national team left-back, recently transferred to the French team from Nice, Ali Al-Abdi, as well as Al-Ahly club and Egyptian national team central defender Rami Rabia.
The Tunisian national team beat Madagascar 1-0 in a match in which Al-Abdi clearly shone, while Ramy Rabia scored with a header in the Egyptian national team’s 3-1 victory over the Cape Verde national team at the Cairo International Stadium.
Ziyech scored the 25th international goal of his career with the Atlas Lions, cementing his third position on the list of all-time top scorers in Morocco, behind leader Ahmed Fares, who scored 36 goals, and runner-up Salah Eddine Basir, who scored 27 goals.
In the second round match against Lesotho, Ziyech will be hoping to score more goals and get closer and closer to Salah Al-Din Basir’s number.
