In a tone of sadness and grief, an elderly resident of Okrda Smokin roundabout in Tata region recalled the tragic details of the Tata floods, which claimed many lives and caused significant material losses.

The elderly person revealed in a statement to Heba Press that on Saturday, local authorities informed residents of the warning bulletin and heavy rains, prompting residents to stay indoors before the floods swept them away.

The old man added that the tragedy cost the lives of 6 members of his family, namely his brother’s wife and two daughters, his sister’s son, his wife and two children, specifying that 6 other people are missing and are being sought.

The same spokesman praised the efforts of local authorities and rescue teams, who rushed to extract victims from the rubble and count the losses.
