Because of “Kiss”… Two tourists in Berber attire set social networks ablaze (photos)

In recent hours, a controversial image has been circulating on social media, showing two people dressed in Amazigh clothing exchanging a kiss. This scene has sparked mixed reactions among members of Moroccan society.

The image has led to wide divisions between supporters and opponents, with some individuals considering that exchanging kisses while wearing traditional clothing constitutes a violation of Amazigh values and traditions, noting that such behavior can offend Amazigh culture and harm its image in society.

A number of activists also stressed the need to respect Amazigh dress and not distort it, believing that such acts could contribute to portraying Amazigh culture in a way that conflicts with public values, thereby harming their traditions.

On the other hand, some activists consider that a kiss is an expression of love and respect and should not be interpreted negatively. They stressed that the Amazigh culture, like other cultures, must be flexible and able to interact with changes.
