Heba Press: Oujda
The Association of Traders of Souk Friad of Berkane sent a letter to the governor of the region concerning the widespread phenomenon of occupation of public property in Al-Manzil Street, Al-Ayoun district, in Berkane, near the Imam Ali school, the sides and the doors of Souk Friad.
From the correspondence, as part of our follow-up on this matter, it is clear that the situation is still the same, with chaos, chaos and the complete closure of the main street, and that we, from the Souq Faryad Merchants Association, consider this situation as a violation of the rights of regular traders, a violation of the security and safety of citizens and an obstacle that prevents market traders from being able to carry out their trade in an open atmosphere.
The correspondent also adds that in addition to the damage suffered by neighboring residents and the restrictions on movement to and from their homes, even the ambulance was not spared from this harassment. Consequently, the Association of Merchants of Souq Friad expresses its deep concern. in the face of this situation and its astonishment at your inability to respond properly to the expectations of the merchants. The population is incompatible with the Moroccan Constitution and the concept of participatory democracy.
Finally, we again request your urgent intervention to remedy the damage by activating Regulatory Resolution No. 109 of 05/22/2024 regarding places of sale throughout the city and taking all necessary legal measures and procedures.
