The authorities of the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region are continuing their significant efforts to ensure the supply of drinking water to residents of mountainous areas, particularly the suburbs of Beni Mellal, noting that a number of rural communities in the region lacked drinking water until recently.
In this regard, a number of important hydraulic projects have been launched aimed at providing drinking water to the population in the areas of Beni Mellal, where three wells have been equipped with pumping systems and solar energy in the community of Foum el-Armen, with financial funding coverage of approximately 2.1 million dirhams for the benefit of 230 families.
13 water points were built and equipped in the local authorities of Oulad Yaich, Oulad Mbarak, Foum Oudi, Kataya and Samakat, in order to meet the growing water needs of these rural areas characterized by difficult terrain, which complicates the task of accessing them.
