The report also includes another Saudi League Roshen goalkeeper, Senegalese Edouard Mendy, who plays for Al-Ahly Saudi Arabia, and who comes in sixth place with a salary of £185,207 per week, which equates to £9.6 million per year.
Topping the list is Bayern Munich’s German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who earns £353,577 a week and £18.4 million a year.
The top 10 highest-paid goalkeepers include leagues such as Germany, Spain, France and Saudi Arabia, while none of these keepers are from the English Premier League.
According to the report, strikers are typically the highest-paid soccer players, but good goalkeepers also command significant salaries, earning as much as the highest-paid players in their teams and leagues.
