Journalist and political activist Saeed Bensedira severely criticized the Mouloudia Alger team, against the backdrop of extra-sporting events that occurred at the Douira stadium during its confrontation with the Tunisian Union of Monastir for the second preliminary round of the African Champions League.
In his statements, Bensedira described the Algerian team in harsh terms, accusing it of benefiting from the money of the Algerian people and Sonatrach, in addition to the fact that the team has its own stadium.
Bensedira called for an end to this financial support, calling for Mouloudia Alger to be treated like other teams without discrimination. He said in his statements: “They gave you a stadium in your name and Sonatrach gave you billions. Do you want Algeria to be written in your name? This support must stop and they must be treated like other Premier League teams.
These criticisms follow the events that occurred during the last match between Mouloudia Alger and its guest, Al-Ittihad Monastir, which sparked widespread controversy due to the chaos that reigned in the stadium.
It should be noted that the confrontation, which ended with the victory of Mouloudia Alger (2-0), saw the Monastir players being attacked even inside the locker rooms, in addition to tear gas fired by the Algerian authorities during the match.
