Exports: Aeronautics continues its rise at the end of February 2024

Exports from the aeronautics sector reached more than 3.89 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) during the first two months of 2024, an improvement of 18.7% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the Foreign Exchange Office.
This development is explained by the increase in sales of the Assembly segment of 29.1% to 2.6 billion dirhams and of the EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) segment of 1.8%. at nearly 1.27 million dirhams (MDH), indicates the Foreign Exchange Office in its recent bulletin on monthly indicators of foreign trade.
This bulletin also reports an increase in automobile exports of 12% to 24.27 billion dirhams, benefiting from the increase in sales of the segments “Vehicle interiors and seats” (+24.2%), “Construction” ( +13.5%) and “Cabling” (+9%).
In addition, phosphates and derivatives exceeded 11.6 billion dirhams at the end of last February, up 8.2% year-on-year, ahead of electronics and electricity (+6.6% to 3.9 billion dirhams).
On the other hand, exports of “Agriculture and agro-food”, “Textiles and leather” and “Other mining” stood respectively at 17.26 billion dirhams (-0.7%), 7.32 billion dirhams (- 1.7%) and 690 million dirhams (-20.3%).
