A new video clip by Egyptian star Amr Diab has caused a stir on social media, in which he announces his retirement from wedding ceremonies, after many years of participating in several such events in various countries.
The video circulating is from the wedding of the daughter of famous businessman Basil Sammakia, which took place in the Pyramids area, and was attended by Amr Diab, Ragheb Alama and a number of stars .
In the music video, Diab appeared sending a message to the audience, saying: “Congratulations.. This is the last wedding I will celebrate.. I had decided to stop celebrating weddings, but the party host today is close to my heart. .”
Some linked the decision to the infamous incident last June, when a video surfaced showing Diab slapping a fan who tried to take a selfie with him at another wedding in Cairo. The incident sparked much controversy after giving rise to back-and-forth reports between the two parties.
