A meeting was held recently in Agadir, bringing together the regional executive office of the Moroccan Union of Musical Professions of Souss-Massa and the regional management of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Culture Sector.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the situation and future prospects of the music sector in the region, while raising observations and questions from professionals mainly linked to the artist’s professional card and public support. and what is related to these aspects from an organizational point of view. The reasons for the non-participation of the Amazigh artist in the committees at the central level were also mentioned, in addition to… The exchange on the field and organizational problems experienced by certain festivals and musical and sung activities in the region.
For his part, the regional director provided some clarifications on the questions of professionals and expressed his full availability for dialogue and cooperation according to the specialization assigned to him in order to find effective solutions to the various issues and problems raised at the regional level. .
The office of the artists’ union presented a number of proposals, the first of which was to inform the central administration of the ministry of the chaos that characterizes the artistic scene at the organizational and professional level (artist card and support for the song) .
Then work on the revision of the law on artists and artistic professions and the development of some regulatory texts and decrees linked to it, with emphasis on the difference between a professional artist and an affiliated artist, in addition to submit proposals concerning the mode of organization and conditions. for participation in the Rawais National Art Festival, organized by the ministry in the jihadist town of Dashira, with the development of a strategy for searching for young emerging talents in the field of singing arts through support, l support and continuing training, as well as the search for mechanisms to qualify musical artistic production in light of the new digital transformations that the sector is experiencing, and the development of a global program in this regard which concerns the different regions of the region, while considering the possibilities of teaching Amazigh music in the musical sectors of the ministry. institutes, then think about organizing training and communication workshops for the benefit of artists.
