The Moroccan Association for Human Rights, Manara Marrakech branch, called on the competent authorities to intervene to ensure security and put an end to the dangerous acts taking place around the educational establishments of Tamansourt, in particular the rehabilitation and preparatory high schools of the city.
The Human Rights Association explained in a statement that some individuals deliberately block the road with groups of motorcycles in front of public education establishments, with the aim of sexually harassing girls.
She added: “The neighborhood of these institutions is the scene of almost daily clashes and stone throwing between competitors for areas of influence in front of these institutions, which creates a state of terror among students and neighboring residents” , because of the danger that these behaviors represent for the population. those of these regions.
The association also called on the authorities to free the school environment from manifestations of sexual harassment and physical and symbolic violence, and to protect students, administrative staff and local residents from the control of harassers, drug traffickers and hallucinogenic pills. .
She stressed the need to provide private security guards for all educational institutions and clear their surroundings of any behavior that may negatively affect the educational process or affect the personal safety of students and educational staff.
