Today, Wednesday, the investigating judge at the Court of Appeal of Tangier ended the interrogations in the case of the harassment of a young girl on the Corniche of the city, which sparked widespread controversy after the release of a video clip documenting the incident.
According to informed sources, the investigating judge completed his interrogations with the four defendants early last week, although the authorities have not yet been able to locate the victim or contact him.
The investigation revealed that the victim was visiting Tangier with her friends during the summer and that the events occurred last July. The sources explain that the four arrested defendants will inform the investigating judge of their referral to trial.
The same sources add that one of the accused admitted during the investigation to having participated in the acts directed against him, which strengthens the accusations against the rest of the people involved in the case.
The investigating judge had previously ordered that the case be referred to the judicial police for further investigation, as it was not possible to precisely determine the identity of the victim. The defendants face serious charges, including attempted indecent assault and nocturnal gathering.
