Morocco was the first to achieve victory during the first day of the Beach Soccer CAN 2024 in Egypt, which began today Saturday October 19 in Hurghada.
The tournament officially began with a Group A match between Morocco and Tanzania, kicking off the eight-nation tournament which will take place from October 19 to 26.
After a meeting full of twists and turns, the Moroccans finally emerged victorious with a tight score of 4-3, allowing them to temporarily take the lead of the group.
The result propels the North Africans to the top of a competitive Group A, featuring hosts Egypt, as well as Tanzania and Ghana.
For their sixth participation, Morocco hopes to surpass their best performance of the last two editions, where they finished in third place.
