The President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, underlined, Wednesday at the Congress of Deputies, the “excellence” of cooperative relations with Morocco in all areas, ensuring that his last visit to the Kingdom, last February, gave a new dynamic to bilateral ties.

“We maintain excellent cooperation with Morocco, particularly in the fight against terrorism, illegal immigration and mafias active in human trafficking,” said Mr. Sanchez during the plenary session of the Congress of the Lower House.

He noted that this cooperation also extends to the cultural and sporting fields, as illustrated by “the development of the Cervantes Institute network in Morocco and the organization of the Football World Cup with Morocco and Portugal in 2030″.

Mr. Sanchez also welcomed the “improvement” of cooperation in security, financial and commercial matters between the two countries.
