The design of the logo for the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the November Revolution in Algeria sparked great anger on social media platforms and criticism of its content.
Several Algerian media professionals considered that this slogan symbolizes France, because it adopted the French language, wondering what message they want to convey to the Algerian people.
Algerian journalist Abdelmadjid Boutamin, criticizing this slogan, declared: “We will rejoice in this precious memory dear to every Algerian, and the language of the colonizer takes center stage?
An Algerian commented on this slogan: “Ugliness dominates the scene, primitivism is overwhelming and creativity is lacking…”
Activists called on social networks the highest Algerian authorities to remedy the situation and to cancel this slogan if it was actually designed for this occasion, and to design another slogan which does not convey connotations of provocation to respect for the Algerian people.
