Inclusive finance: New commitment from Al Barid Bank during the WSBI centenary in Rome

Al Barid Bank participates in the 27th congress of the World Institute of Savings Banks and Retail Banks (WSBI), celebrating the centenary of this Institution.

A benchmark event bringing together decision-makers and leaders of the banking sector representing 77 member countries, this congress celebrates a century of progress and commitment to inclusion and social equity, offering a platform for exchanges around themes essential such as financial inclusion, digitalization and sustainable finance.

The Morocco delegation, represented by Al Barid Bank and Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion, distinguished itself by the renewal, approved by the General Assembly, of the mandate of Al Amine Nejjar, Chairman of the Management Board of Al Barid Bank, in as Vice-President of the WSBI and President of the Africa Regional Group for the period 2024 – 2027. This reappointment highlights Al Barid Bank’s constant determination and commitment to promoting financial inclusion, in a perspective of sustainability, and at the service of all Moroccans.

Finally, the participation of Al Barid Bank in the celebrations of the centenary of WSBI, illustrates the deep adherence of the Bank to the values ​​of the World Institute of Savings Banks, which, through its active involvement in strengthening the Savings and financial inclusion, particularly in emerging and developing markets, promotes equitable and sustainable development.
