As part of an important step to strengthen infrastructure and achieve sustainable development, the governor of Taourirt province, Mr. Badr Boussif, carried out a field visit to a number of road projects on Thursday, November 7, 2024. vital in the community of Mashre’ Hammadi and certain neighboring areas. He was accompanied for this visit by a delegation from technical and regional services, in the presence of the heads of the groups concerned.
The visit focused on inspecting the progress of work on two major projects aimed at improving the regional road network, as part of efforts to reduce regional disparities and improve access to basic services, particularly in rural areas. The projects included the widening of the road connecting regional road No. 6005 to the areas of “Al-Khanaq”, “Ouled Abdel Moumen”, “Ouled Ben Saleh” and “Ouled M’hamed Ben Issa”, in addition to the road connecting the regional road Route n°6005 to the regional road n°706 in the commune of Ain Pierre.
The cost of these two projects amounts to approximately 7.5 million dirhams, Mr. Badr Boussif having stressed the need for companies to respect quality standards and respect the deadlines specified in the specifications, with the aim of to ensure the sustainability of projects and provide quality infrastructure that contributes to improving the daily living conditions of citizens.
Within these projects, a budget estimated at approximately 14.57 million dirhams was allocated, as part of the program “Correction of the deficit in infrastructure and basic services in the least equipped areas”, which is part of the framework of the Kingdom’s vision of reducing social and economic emissions. spatial disparities and support the economic development of rural areas.
After this visit, the worker held a communication meeting in the city of Laâyoune, Sidi Malouk, with representatives of the territorial groups in the region, where the challenges faced by these groups in various areas, such as ancestral lands, the education and health sectors. , in addition to the problems of water and electricity supply in rural areas, were examined.
During this meeting, Mr. Boussif underlined the need for joint work and continuous coordination between the different local actors to achieve sustainable development, stressing the importance of giving priority to the public interest and setting priorities to ensure the improvement of the standard of living of the population within the framework of the high directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
These efforts are part of a series of meetings held last week by the governor of the region with various external services, which addressed the development situation of the region in the areas of health, agriculture , equipment, water and electricity, and water and forests, where the need to strengthen cooperation and coordination to achieve the desired development goals was highlighted.
