Yesterday Thursday, the road linking the communities of Aït Atab and Ouzoud in Azilal province was the scene of a horrific road accident which left one person dead and two others seriously injured.
According to informed sources, the accident occurred near an old bridge dating from the colonial era, where the driver lost control of his light car, which resulted in it overturning.
After the accident, teams from the Royal Gendarmerie, Civil Protection and local authorities rushed to the scene of the accident, where the victim’s body was transferred to the morgue of the regional hospital of Azilal, while the injured were treated and transferred to the emergency room. from the Beni Mellal Regional Hospital to receive the necessary care.
For their part, members of the Royal Gendarmerie of Ait Eab opened an investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, to determine the circumstances of the incident and determine responsibilities.
