Morocco and Qatar have signed an important agreement for the supply of raw sulfur, used in the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers. This agreement demonstrates the strong relations between the two countries.
The agreement was signed between Qatar Energy Company and OCP Nutricrops, a subsidiary of the Office Cherifien des Phosphates group, and aims to secure sulfur supplies between the two countries over the next ten years.
This agreement will be launched before the end of the current year, as Qatar Energy will supply Morocco with up to 7.5 million tonnes of sulfur for the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers over the next decade.
