Baitas, government spokesperson, welcomed the content of the April agreement between the government and union representatives.
Baitas affirmed during the press conference which followed the work of the Government Council on Thursday that the government has established a social dialogue, based on discussions going beyond the figures and leading to the reform of major issues postponed for years, all focused on the construction of social state projects, directed by His Majesty the King.
The government official added that the general increase in the guaranteed interprofessional minimum wage (SMIG) has increased by 20% and that of the guaranteed agricultural minimum wage (SMAG) by 25% since the government took office.
The same spokesperson confirmed that the minimum wage in Morocco is among the highest on the African continent, noting that our country occupies second place.
