Sustainability of agricultural development in Morocco. Water efficiency and transition to renewable energies

Closely linked to human development, the second foundation of Generation Green concerns the sustainability of agricultural development, through specific actions in production sectors, distribution circuits and the preservation of natural resources in the context of climate change.

The implementation of this second foundation will involve the following four axes:

1-the consolidation of agricultural sectors, with the objective of doubling agricultural GDP and exports, in addition to reaching a rate of 70% of production valorization

2-the improvement and modernization of distribution circuits for agricultural products, in particular wholesale markets and souks

3-improving quality and innovation capacity

4-the establishment of more resilient and eco-efficient agriculture, through doubling water efficiency, conserving agricultural soils and supporting farmers in the transition to renewable energies.
