Aït Taleb welcomes members of the Hajj health mission and calls for dedication and responsibility

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Professor Khalid Aït Taleb, chaired Friday, May 10, 2024, at the ministry’s headquarters in Rabat, a welcoming ceremony for members of the health mission which will take charge of the medical coverage of Moroccan pilgrims during the Hajj season 1445 H – 2024 G, on royal instructions from His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist and protect Him.

This ceremony was marked by a keynote speech from the Minister to the members of the civil health mission made up of 82 medical, nursing and administrative executives, distributed among the members of the mission of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection ( 44) and the health services of the Royal Armed Forces (38). He urged them to fulfill their noble mission by serving the guests of the Almighty with dedication and responsibility, as ambassadors of their country.

The minister highlighted in his speech the need to carry out the work entrusted to them with dedication and selflessness, treating pilgrims with respect, providing primary health care to avoid complications and dangers, offering health services health when necessary, closely monitoring their health status and providing moral and psychological support during the convalescence period, identifying potential health risks and working to find ways to manage them. He also assured members of the health mission that the ministry will mobilize the human resources and means necessary to enable them to work effectively in order to guarantee health care that meets the expectations of Moroccan pilgrims.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has allocated significant quantities of medicines and medical supplies to support Moroccan pilgrims during their stay in the holy places until the end of their Hajj and their return to the country, in addition to all the necessary equipment for health centers, whether fixed or mobile, in Mecca and Medina. It has also developed an informative application that allows monitoring of the treatment progress of Moroccan pilgrims in real time during the duration of the Hajj, as well as instant notification of illnesses and automatic management of statistics relating to the health of pilgrims.

On the other hand, to facilitate the prevention of Moroccan pilgrims, the ministry will allow Moroccan pilgrims to have a health kit including portable biomedical equipment to monitor blood pressure, diabetes and temperature, as well as means of protection such as masks and disinfectants.
