HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ould Ali
The Regional Blood Transfusion Center in Al Hoceima is recently experiencing a complete depletion of its blood bag stock, a worrying situation that forebodes serious repercussions on the health of patients who urgently need this vital substance, whether in emergency cases or for surgical operations and ongoing treatments.
Faced with this severe shortage, the center is unable to meet the increasing demand for blood, which puts medical teams before great challenges in ensuring the necessary health care for patients, especially in light of the complete reliance on voluntary donation to secure this essential substance. In this context, the center issued an urgent humanitarian appeal to all citizens, especially regular donors, to go to the Regional Blood Transfusion Center located at the Mohammed V Hospital in Al Hoceima, in order to contribute to saving lives by donating blood. Health professionals emphasize that each blood bag can save more than one life, calling for the promotion of a culture of voluntary and regular donation, as a solidarity behavior that reflects the values of solidarity and social responsibility. Hope remains pinned on the response of the population and civil society to this humanitarian appeal, to overcome this crisis and ensure the continuity of health services, pending sustainable solutions that enhance the blood supply at the regional level.
