National roads: 340 black spots identified by the Ministry of Equipment

The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, stressed, Tuesday in Rabat, that national roads include numerous sections which experience frequent traffic accidents, reporting 340 black spots identified by his department.

In response to an oral question in the House of Advisors, Mr. Baraka indicated that the ministry has put in place a joint strategy with the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) aimed at accelerating the repair of a number of dangerous road sections and reduce black spots.

Thus, 15 black spots were treated during the year 2023, noted the minister who assured that this operation will continue with the required speed.

Among the achievements made at this level, Mr. Baraka cited those concerning national road No. 9 linking Marrakech and Ouarzazate, relating in particular to the rehabilitation of the section of regional road No. 413 linking Meknes and Souk El Arbaa over a length of 88km.
