Today, Monday, in the French capital, Paris, the Moroccan singer Saad Lamjara, accused of having attacked a Frenchwoman in a hotel in Paris in October 2016, will be repeated in the French capital, Paris, in closed legal proceedings held in camera, at the request of the Civil Party.
This is just in the event of release and surveillance of the court before the Court of Appeal in the Val de Marne region in Cretay, near Paris, where the Court should examine its appeal against the initial decision issued in 2023.
The criminal court sentenced the Moroccan artist to six years in prison, after being found guilty of “rape” with strict circumstances, an accusation which he had categorically sealed throughout the investigation and stages of the trial.
It is expected that the court will render its final decision next Friday, which ends a long controversial judicial path which has received broad attention in Morocco and France, whether in terms of public opinion or the media.
