The Israeli aviation continued its strikes against several sites in Iran on Saturday, targeting aerial defense systems in the Tehran region and dozens of missile launchers.
The Israeli Air Force had led strikes against several Iranian military and nuclear installations on Friday morning, with the displayed objective of dismantling the military capacities of this country.
The attack brought “a real blow” to the Iranian nuclear program, the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday, ensuring that his country will strike “all the diet sites” in Iran.
The Israeli army had claimed to have affected centrifuges of underground uranium enrichment of Natanz, while Tehran assures that most of the damage on this site were “superficial”.
The Israeli strikes killed the chief of the revolution guards, General Hossein Salami, the commander of the Guardian Aerospace Force, Amirali Hajizadeh, and the chief of staff, General Mohammad Bagheri, as well as other Iranian officials and generals, according to Tehran. Nine scientists from the Iranian nuclear program also perished there.
Faced with these developments, the international community called for restraint and de -escalation. The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres urged Israel and Iran to “show the greatest restraint”, while warning against “any military climbing in the Middle East”.
