Heba Press – Muhammad Zaruh
On Monday, June 23, 2025, the “Wilrik” area was shaken in the Belgian city of Antwerp, Monday, June 23, 2025, during a strong explosion targeting the house of Youssef Bushyar, a Moroccan known for his relationship with the gangs of organized crime. The explosion occurred at the start of the dawn, causing great damage to the house gateway to the house, but the house was empty at the time of the accident, which prevented human injuries.
Although the preliminary investigations indicate that the explosion occurred around three in the morning, the police only received any report from the accident after five hours.
Upon arrival, it was found that the accident led to major material damage, without any victim.
The property of the house belongs to Youssef Bushyar, who was known to Belgian security after being sentenced in 2021 for trying to steal 350 kilograms of cocaine.
In a related context, Bushiar is a leading figure in the world of organized crime in Belgium, because it had already been subjected to several similar attacks in the past, such as burning his brother’s car in 2019 and bombing the home door of his family at the end of last year. These incidents highlight the climbing of tensions between the gangs involved in organized crime in Belgium.
On the other hand, the incident reflects the escalation of combating drug gangs in the country, which increases public security. The Belgian authorities are pursuing intense investigations to try to identify the people involved, in the midst of warnings that the conflict between these networks could attend a large escalation in the future.
