The National Motorway Company of Morocco announced the rehabilitation works at the Sidi Maarouf interchange, which will affect traffic on the Casablanca bypass highway during the period between October 1 and October 8, 2025.
The company explained in a statement, a copy of which was received by HIBAPRESS, that traffic will be temporarily halted on the night of Wednesday, October 1, from 23:00 to 05:00 on Thursday, October 2, at the intersection for users of the highway coming from Rabat and heading towards Marrakech and Mohammed V Airport. Traffic will also experience temporary stoppages at the intersection for those coming from El Jadida and heading to Casablanca throughout the period from October 1 to 8.
To facilitate travel, the company has identified alternative routes for road users: those coming from El Jadida towards Casablanca can exit the highway via the Azbane entrance or the Ain Chock (Taddart) interchange, while those coming from Rabat towards Marrakech and Mohammed V Airport will be directed via the Ain Chock (Taddart) interchange and then the Green City road to reach the Casablanca-Berrechid highway at the Green City interchange.
The National Motorway Company affirmed that it has put in place the necessary signage to ensure smooth traffic flow, and apologized for any inconvenience that may result from these works, which aim to enhance safety on the highway.
