HIBAPRESS
Moroccan rap star Toufik Hazeb, known as "Don Bigg", criticized the way the security authorities dealt with the protest held last Saturday in several cities in the Kingdom, which was forcibly prevented in most areas, according to video clips circulated by social media users.
"Don Bigg" commented, saying: "Suppressing young people out in a peaceful demonstration for health is nothing but a stupid way of telling them to go look for other parties to recruit you. The problem with Morocco for a long time is improvisation in solving crises. The politicians have put us in the crisis and the security forces still don't understand that repression is not the solution, they are your children." The artist's statements sparked a wide reaction among his followers, as they brought the discussion back to the style of crisis management in the country and the need to deal with peaceful protests in a way that preserves the rights of citizens and ensures the expression of their demands without the use of violence.
