The Secretary of State in charge of Social Integration, Abdeljebbar Rachidi, reiterated on Thursday the government's readiness to move the discussion about the demands of youth expressions from the virtual world to a dialogue within institutions.
Rachidi explained, during a press conference following the government council meeting, in response to a number of questions regarding the protest forms that occurred during the past two days in a number of cities in the Kingdom, that the priorities related to the reform of the education and health systems "are not disputed by anyone." He noted that the government is making very great efforts regarding the reform of the health system, highlighting that "implementing this reform requires some time, and the government is aware of the need to accelerate it." He pointed out the "actual implementation of a number of measures, including strengthening inspection and monitoring in hospitals at the territorial level, and this is very essential." He added that the government is not only listening but is also ready to define an agenda and implement its commitments, stressing the importance of dialogue with the youth, whether from the government, the parties, or even within the parliament, who remain ready to embrace public discussion regarding social issues that constitute the agenda of youth demands. He affirmed that "peaceful protest and youth expressions and presenting demands in a peaceful framework are not disputed by anyone, but no Moroccan will accept deviating from this methodology and carrying out acts of violence, sabotage, and attacks on public and private property."
