The Criminal Court No. 1 in occupied Ceuta sentenced a person convicted of "forging an official document" and "practicing a profession without a license" after he managed to work as a nurse using a forged certificate.
The local website "El Faro" reported that the person, known as "I.D.M.", prepared a graduation certificate in "nursing" despite the fact that he did not study this profession at all, but he succeeded in convincing others that the university where he received his training was the University of Granada in occupied Ceuta. The source added that the forged certificate included the supposed professional registration number, his name and personal data, in addition to the signatures of the "University President" and the "Head of the Service Department" at the university, with the date of issue set on July 12, 2018, and all of that was incorrect, and the certificate was completely manipulated with it being given a real appearance. "El Faro" explained that the person submitted the certificate on February 5, 2022, to the company "Defico Consultores", responsible for selecting health cadres, and during the job interview he showed the same certificate, and the company, responsible for managing nursing homes and especially the "Argeisao" center in northern Spain, hired him on March 7, 2022, where he practiced normal nursing activities, including giving medications and preparing the practice of "catheterization", without having the actual certificate. The same website added that after the fraud was discovered, justice intervened, and the person admitted this before the judge in charge of "Criminal Court No. 1", so that a "legal form of approval" was applied without the need to hold a hearing. According to "El Faro", the court imposed a sentence of 6 months in prison for forging official documents, in addition to a fine of 540 euros, in addition to spending another 6 months in prison for practicing the profession without a license, knowing that the convicted person is already in prison for another crime.
