The young man Omar, known as “Kabo Parrots”, sparked a large wave of sympathy on social media, after all his birds were confiscated by the National Agency for Water and Forests.
Omar expressed his deep sadness on his Instagram account, explaining that his psychological state was at its lowest after the separation from his birds, and also revealed that he was facing a hefty fine as a result of a number of charges against him. Omar asked officials and content creators to stand by him and help resolve his legal situation, hoping to find support from the community to overcome this crisis. On his part, the comedian Yassar commented, saying: “By the sword, people hate all solidarity,” which sparked widespread interaction among followers who expressed their solidarity with Omar and support for him in his ordeal. The issue reopened the debate about protecting the rights of bird breeders in Morocco, and the call for finding flexible solutions that balance the preservation of environmental laws and the rights of hobbyists.
