HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Mohamed Saad Barrada, Minister of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports, confirmed that the review of the age limit for entry into the teaching profession at 30 years old is still under consideration.
The Minister stated, in response to questions from parliamentarians during the oral question session in the House of Representatives on Monday, that the final decision regarding this condition will be announced before the opening of the new recruitment competitions, which are expected to include 20,000 university graduates this year. In a related context, the Minister added that 95% of those who passed the last recruitment competition for academy staff had honors in their baccalaureate or bachelor's degree, indicating that the vast majority of them were not older than 25 years old. Barrada added that the percentage of successful candidates between the ages of 29 and 30 did not exceed 4%, reflecting, according to him, that the age limit did not pose an obstacle to benefiting from qualified competencies.
