The coach of the Moroccan national team under the age of 20, Mohamed Wahbi, expressed his great happiness after the "Atlas Lions" qualified for the final of the 2025 Youth World Cup, in a new historical achievement for Moroccan football, stressing that the secret of success lies in the fighting spirit and collective discipline.
Wahbi said in televised statements after the victory in the semi-finals: "We knew it was a difficult match, with easy and difficult times. We pressed well, and defended in an organized manner. I congratulate the players, we played against a good team that attacked and defended strongly, but we remained calm and focused in the decisive moments."
The national coach added that the changes he made were difficult, saying: "None of the players want to leave, everyone wants to fight and play. However, the substitutes came in at the right time and were fully prepared to contribute to the victory."
Wahbi especially praised the substitute goalkeeper who gave a distinguished performance: "I am very happy with the substitute goalkeeper, because he gave a great performance and contributed to this historic qualification."
He concluded his statement by saying: "Thank God, we are in the final, it is a historic moment for Morocco. Now we must focus on the final match, and we will do everything we can to win the title and make the Moroccan people happy."
