HIBAPRESS – Agadir
The Governor of the Souss-Massa region, Said Amzazi, conducted a field visit to the Agadir bus station today, Thursday, October 16th, to closely examine the progress of the ongoing rehabilitation works. This is part of the preparations related to the city's hosting of the "Africa Cup of Nations" competitions.
This visit falls within the framework of monitoring the implementation of projects included in the rehabilitation program aimed at strengthening the city's infrastructure in preparation for this important continental event. The rehabilitation project of the bus station is being overseen by the Al-Omrane Group. The facility is in its final stages, having been equipped with 40 platforms, 14 ticket counters, in addition to 6 shops, 6 restaurants, as well as 10 administrative offices, and two elevators and electric staircases, ensuring the quality of services and the smooth movement of passengers. The rehabilitation works are expected to be completed next November, in preparation for the opening of the station in a new look that keeps pace with the urban transformation and development dynamics that Agadir is witnessing, with adherence to the latest standards adopted in the field of intercity road transport.
