The Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Mohamed Said Barrada, confirmed that the total cost of social dialogue in the education sector has reached, to date, more than 17 billion dirhams.
This came during the weekly oral question session in the House of Councilors, today, Tuesday, where the Minister revealed that an additional 10 billion dirhams will be allocated during the current year. The Minister added that this significant financial envelope included a set of measures that aimed to improve the professional and material conditions of the women and men of education. Barrada pointed out that the most prominent of these measures was the general increase in wages, which amounted to 1,500 dirhams, distributed in two installments, and the increase in allowances for ranks and the excellent grade by approximately 1,000 dirhams, as well as the creation of the excellent grade, where increases ranged between 2,000 and 3,500 dirhams, in addition to the Riada Foundation grant, which benefited 12,000 people with a financial envelope of 170 million dirhams, along with the supplementary allowances that ranged between 170 and 3,500 dirhams.
