In implementation of the high royal directives of King Mohammed VI, calling for the completion of the reform of the national health system, and by instructions of the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amin Tahraoui, 49 urban and rural health centers entered service on Friday, October 24, 2025, across 9 regions.
The launch of services in these new health centers comes within the framework of continuing the government program related to the rehabilitation of primary health care institutions, which aims to rebuild, modernize, and equip 1400 health centers distributed across the various provinces of the Kingdom, as well as within the policy of reducing spatial disparities in access to health services.
These health facilities, which fall under the new generation of primary health care institutions, aim to strengthen the health offer in the regions of 9 regions, and to bring basic health services closer to the targeted population in these regions. They also aim to respond to the increasing demand for health care services, improve and enhance access to them, and improve reception and guidance conditions.
To keep pace with health care services within the concerned regions and ensure the effective launch of these centers, a professional team was allocated, including about 230 health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and technicians, to provide quality services to the population.
This concerns the Souss-Massa region, which will benefit from the services of 6 centers distributed across the provinces of Taroudant (5), Tiznit (1), and Agadir Ida-Outanane (1). In the Rabat – Salé – Kenitra region, the health offer is enhanced by the entry of two health centers into service in Rabat.
