The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amin Tahraoui, launched today, Friday, 49 new health centers across 9 regions in the Kingdom, including 10 centers in the Oriental region, in implementation of the high royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God grant him victory, to strengthen the reform of the national health system.
The inauguration of these centers aimed to improve the quality of health services and bring them closer to the population, within the government program to rehabilitate 1400 health centers, and to reduce spatial disparities in access to health care. According to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Health has allocated a professional team comprising about 230 health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and technicians, to ensure the provision of high-quality medical and nursing services. The centers were also equipped with advanced medical equipment and sufficient human resources to provide various services, including general examinations, nursing treatments, follow-up of chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure, maternal and child health care, school health, health awareness and sensitization, in addition to epidemiological vigilance and mobile health services.
