The Cameroonian Constitutional Council announced on Monday the re-election of Cameroonian President Paul Biya, 92, for an eighth presidential term, where he obtained 53.66% of the votes of the voters.
Biya had canceled restrictions on presidential terms in 2008 and won the 2018 elections with more than 71% of the votes, although opposition groups accused the electoral process of widespread violations, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC".
Biya has not lost any elections since he came to power in 1982, and with his victory for an eighth seven-year term, he will remain president until he is 99 years old.
