Mohamed Chouky, head of the National Rally of Independents group in the House of Representatives, strongly criticized the opposition, accusing it of "promoting lies" and adopting various "methods of falsification," considering that it had completely lost its political compass.
Chouky explained today, Tuesday, during a meeting of the Finance and Economic Development Committee in the House of Representatives, dedicated to discussing the 2026 finance bill, that the government's ambition to practice productive politics heading towards the future with sincere will, clashed with some "shameful and unacceptable practices that choose the path of spreading falsehoods and promoting lies, instead of contributing to building solutions. These rejected practices, instead of being concerned with formulating possible alternatives, we find them exacerbating the situations and wasting the available opportunities to effectively respond to the requirements of building a real development project, that meets the ambitions and aspirations of our country." He added, "We have all followed in recent times an integrated series of malicious outings that reflected the beginning of annoyance with all communication initiatives, but gave itself the right to determine how and when the Prime Minister communicates with Moroccans. And then it interfered, overstepping the normal administrative practices carried out by the executive authority in accordance with the provisions of the constitution and the legal jurisdictions of each minister, sometimes attacking the decision of the Minister of National Education when he opened the door to competition for administrative positions with the aim of injecting new blood into the sector, and sometimes attacking the Minister of Health and Social Protection because he rationalized the management of certain deals, and the worst thing is that there are those who have allowed themselves to be a censor of the Minister of Economy and Finance who conducted an important interview with an international channel on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank." The head of the RNI group concluded in his speech that "the best episode in this series is the one that repeated a monologue that states that the Prime Minister was good when he was a minister, and he is not the same as the head of the government, adding, isn't this series a clear proof that its protagonists have completely lost their political compass, and they have no other direction in this political wilderness except the methods of falsification."
