The royal palace announced today, Saturday, the death of the mother of King Mohammed VI, Princess Lalla Latifa.

The official spokesperson of the royal palace announces with great sadness and deep sorrow, the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, this Saturday 22 Dhu al-Hijja 1445 H, corresponding to June 29, 2024, widow of the late His Majesty King Hassan II, may God rest his soul, and mother of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect and support him, as well as the Royal Highnesses the princes and princesses.

Announcing this sad news, we pray to God the Almighty to surround the noble departed with His vast mercy and generous forgiveness, to welcome her into His vast paradise, and to prolong the life of Our Majesty, His Majesty the King Mohammed VI, may God protect him, and to perpetuate his glory and his victory, and to recall his memory through good works.
