The judicial police elements of the regional security in El Jadida city, in the early hours of Friday, October 31st, arrested a 49-year-old person, suspected of involvement in a case related to the preparation and promotion of alcohol.
The suspect was arrested in the rural area of "Al-Maharza" in the outskirts of El Jadida, as he is the subject of national search warrants issued by the judicial police and the Royal Gendarmerie in the cities of Azemmour and El Jadida, on suspicion of his involvement in selling alcoholic beverages without a license. The seizure and search operation resulted in dismantling a workshop that the suspect was using to distill alcoholic beverages, where 501 liters of alcohol and 6,200 liters of fermented liquids used in its preparation were seized, in addition to a set of equipment and utensils used in this criminal activity. The suspect has been placed under custody pending the judicial investigation supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office, to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case.
